With her Super Bowl halftime performance and a feature-length HBO documentary around the corner, Beyoncé has shown all signs of planning a comeback. But what about new music? No new album or single has yet been announced since the release of her hit 2011 release, 4. According to frequent Bey collaborator and producer The-Dream, however, the pop diva will in fact be releasing new songs sooner rather than later.
"Definitely. She's got her stuff going," The-Dream told Billboard of Beyoncé's plans to put out new music. "She took the summer to start recording, and now she's in a place where she's ready to start gearing up to reveal her plan."
The super producer, who co-wrote five songs on 4 and says he's been closely involved with the unannounced fifth album, said Bey is very likely to release one or more songs from the project before she takes the stage at the Super Bowl on February 3.
"She's already gearing up to get ready to put stuff out," he said. "I'm sure there will probably be a couple records you hear before the Super Bowl gets here."
Madonna, who performed at the big show last year, also released a new single, "Give Me All Your Luvin'," in the lead up to the performance. She released a new album, MDNA, two months later.
