TMZ is reporting that the L.A. County District Attorney has dismissed the felony drug case against Short due to the small amount of narcotics (meth) found in the back of a police car during his arrest. The D.A. will instead look to bring the case down to a misdemeanor. Law enforcement also took into account that the "Freaky Tales" rapper does not have a felony record.
As previously reported, Short was arrested last week for a DUI after he attempted to flee from cops. The rapper’s breathalyzer registered at .09, which is just over California’s .08 limit. Police also said Short tried to dump drugs in the back of their cruiser. The Oakland-born hip hop vet denied the narcotics were his, claiming that they belonged to the person who took a ride with the cops prior to his involuntary trip.
With the drug possession case now a non-issue, Short must still head back to court to answer for his DUI.
