Miguel Keeps It Sexy on Saturday Night Live

R&B singer makes debut on famed stage, drops mic.

Published April 15, 2013

This weekend (April 13), fresh off his tour with Alicia Keys, Grammy-winning R&B star Miguel made his SNL debut, a rite of passage for artists on the way to breaking big, and he definitely made the most of the opportunity.

For his first number, Miguel and his band delivered a mind-blowing version of his single “How Many Drinks?,” which transitioned from dramatic falsetto to a hard-rocking rave-up that ended with him dropping the microphone, as if to say, “my work here is done.”

Fortunately, Miguel picked the mic back up to do an inspired version of his smash hit “Adorn."

“Slam dunk! R&B is alive @MiguelUnlimited," Mariah Carey tweeted.

Miguel will be performing at the Staples Center on Saturday, June 29 along with Snoop Lion, Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolBoy Q.
