Glover is from the ATL, and will write, produce and star in the series.

The actor/comedian hybrid splits time between television and rapping under his Childish Gambino alias. Less than a month ago, Glover announced that he was scaling down his role on NBC's Community to focus on his growing music career. As Childish Gambino, Glover has released five mixtapes and four solo albums, the most recent being 2011's Camp. Although music is a passion, his career has been rooted mostly in television thus far. He started out as a writer for NBC's 30 Rock before moving on to Community, where he plays Troy Barnes, a former high school football star who lost his college scholarship.
