Pusha T Weighs in on Kanye West Attending Drake's OVO Fest

Rapper says 'Ye and Drizzy coming together is "good for music."

Pusha T's "beef" with Drake doesn't mean he can't appreciate Kanye West making peace with the YMCMB rapper. Reacting to West's surprise appearance at Drake's OVO Fest earlier in the week, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper could tell that his boss enjoyed the moment. "'Ye seemed happy," Pusha told Revolt TV. "Drake, he spoke well about it. It's all good."

Furthermore, he hopes the move will be "good for music" and bring about a collaboration. "Maybe they'll do some music together."

Pusha's response was tame compared to how he has spoken about Drake in the past. In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid, the Virginia native wasn't about to back down from Drizzy or Lil Wayne — if necessary. "At the end of the day, I'm ready for anything and anybody," he said in February. "This is music to me. It's something I'm good at. It's something I'm very good at. I don't shy away from anything. I'm not into it like that. And I keep it tasteful. And I keep it hip hop. I keep it rap. That's it. I ain't trippin'. I'm not even here to discredit what they've achieved or their skills. Drake is good."

Drake denied having "any real interaction" with Pusha. "For him to diss me would be purely issues that he's having within himself."

The YMCMB MC's relationship with West, however, is in a much different place. The rap stars were last on a track together on 2009's "Forever," which also featured Eminem and Weezy. They've since had a rumored rift, but recently made it clear that they share a mutual admiration for each other. "I think me and Kanye have wanted to express our respect for each other for a long time," he said to MTV News after the OVO Fest. "Sometimes rap, the business, the competitiveness and just the heart behind it forces you to not talk to the people you quietly admire."
