E-40 is dipping into the wine business, the Bay Area rapper announced via press release Thursday (Oct. 31). 40 recently launched the Earl Stevens Selection, a line of wines named after him, available in varieties like "Mangoscato" and "Function Red Blend."
"I wanted to create my own wine because I'm a huge wine connoisseur," he said in a statement to BET.com. "I love wine, and I got a name for myself so I decided to make my own."
Produced in Northern California, each variety mixes various fruit and citrus notes, like the Cabernet- and-Zinfandel blend "Function Red" featuring "titillating aromas of raspberry and plum" alongside touches of spice, oak and vanilla.
Wine is the latest addition on a list of 40's entrepreneurial ventures, which include a now-closed Fat Burger franchise, and an endorsement deal with Landy Cognac.
