Pebbles Breaks Silence About TLC on Wendy Williams

The group's former manager accuses Chilli of having an affair with L.A. Reid.

In a Wendy Williams Show exclusive, Pebbles finally breaks down her thoughts on being vilified in the public sphere for 20-plus years as the woman who cheated TLC, the world's best-selling girl group, out of millions of dollars.

"It's a lot to it," she told Wendy of why she hasn't spoken before. "I can only tell certain things because there's confidentiality agreements, there's all sorts of stuff happening."

What she can say, however, is that she believes herself to be the "visionary" of TLC, having put the group together, instead of being the villain that she was made out to be in the recently released VH1 movie CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. In fact, the '80s R&B singer turned minister thinks she's actually more of a victim, a wife whose husband, L.A. Reid, had an affair with one of the girls.

"I suspected a couple of things," she said about the rumors that Chilli and Reid were sleeping together. "But I didn’t want to believe that. And for years, I didn’t want to believe that because I felt like they were daughters to me. I am going to write my book and put it in there, but believe me when I say, I saw a couple of things."

As to whether or not she stole millions of dollars from TLC, she said, simply, "Hell no." The cheap $25 per diem and Rav 4s that she was said to have given the girls, instead of a more lavish allowance and car, were reflective of how much the girls were actually bringing in, she said. They were still new artists at the time that was happening. And those bad contracts? "If the contract was so bad, why'd you sign it?" she asked.

Pebbles was also adamant that she never kicked Chilli out of the group, rather it was T-Boz and Left Eye who kicked her out for having an intimate relationship with their producer Dallas Austin.

Chilli and T-Boz first responded with matching Tweets: "Yall need to watch what church yall walk n2 cuz ill tell ya sum of these so called MINISTERS might get struck down by lightning any moment."

They then released a joint statement denying the accusations about the alleged affair.

"No member of TLC ever slept with or had sexual contact with LA Reid as Perri falsely accused Chilli of on "The Wendy Williams Show." In fact, Perri had falsely allege the same thing happened with Tionne."

T-Boz went on to knock down the allegation that Chilli was booted from the group by her fellow band mates.

"I would like to confirm that Perri Reid was the only person who ever suggested that Chilli leave TLC.  Neither Lisa nor I ever wanted or suggested that."

The two parties may soon take their battle to court as Pebbles is said to be preparing a lawsuit against VH1.
