B. Smyth Arrested In Florida

R&B newcomer threatens to sleep with officer's wife during traffic stop.

B. Smyth is still on the climb to R&B stardom, yet he's already involved in a blunder that has nothing to do with his music.

Smyth, birth name Brandon Smith, was arrested at a gas station in Coral Springs, Fla. last Sunday (Dec. 22) after he was pulled over for tailgating and rejected a citation, TMZ reports.

The 21-year-old "Leggo" crooner, who has collaborated with the likes of 2 Chainz and Future, turned a routine traffic stop into an awkward arrest moment soon after. He allegedly cursed at authorities and followed up racial profiling allegations by stating that "he was going to sleep with one of the officer's wives."

Police later took Smyth into custody for trespassing because he refused to leave the gas station.

Judging by his Twitter page, the singer wasn't locked down for very long and has been busy promoting his upcoming club appearances ever since the bust.

Reps for Smyth did not respond to BET.com's request for comment by press time.
