With about a month to go before his Oxymoron LP hits stores, ScHoolboy Q spilled details on the project, collaborations, tour plans and more via Reddit.com's "Ask Me Anything" fan Q&A session Saturday (Jan. 11).
Responding to a question about his biggest rap influences, favorite songs and a Tyler the Creator collaboration, the TDE rapper named 50 Cent, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar and Raekwon as inspirations and said that in addition to an unnamed cut with Tyler, he's been at work with 2 Chainz and The Chef for Oxymoron (He and Rae have a track called "Bling Threats," he said).
Elsewhere in the fan exchange, Q answered random inquiries on everything from his past as a drug dealer, his signature bucket hat, the "coolest" person he's ever smoked weed with (Snoop Dogg and his mother, he said) and touring. "Dates should be up by end of tha month, but u know I like pushing s--t back so just wait lol,” he wrote.
Additionally, the 27-year-old spitter is eyeing a joint project with A$AP Rocky, explaining, "Me and Mac wanna do a alternative album but rap keeps me tied up."
Oxymoron is due out Feb. 25.
