Flavor Flav's New York Speeding Case Is Postponed

Reality star ordered to return to Nassau County court to face charges for racing to his mother's funeral.

Flavor Flav is still facing charges for racing to his mother's funeral on Long Island earlier this year.

A judge ordered Flav to return to the Nassau County court May 16, his lawyer Indji Beesim said, and, according to The Huffington Post, Flav is not entirely pleased. He was reportedly heard grumbling outside of the courtroom about how expensive it is to fly back and forth between his Las Vegas home and New York.

Flav's mother, Anna Drayton, passed away on New Year's Eve. He was on his way to her funeral at the time of his arrest, Jan. 9, pulled over for driving 79mph in a 55mph zone along the Meadowbrook Parkway. He had 16 license suspensions.

Some leniency has been granted. Flav was released the same day he was arrested, in time to attend the funeral.

He's also facing charges in Las Vegas for allegedly threatening his girlfriend's son.
