Chuck D Calls Out Iggy Azalea for Using the N-Word

"Fancy" rapper blasted over doctored photo with T.I., Drake and B.o.B.

Chuck D called out Iggy Azalea over a photo containing the n-word that turned out to be fake. Chuck tweeted a picture of Azalea, T.I., B.o.B and Drake yesterday (July 9) believing that the Aussie rapper captioned it, "Me And Ma N----'s."

Alongside the photo he wrote, "A new straight path to slavery Here comes a endorsed sanctioned CORPlantation artists with A line straight out of 1853."

Once informed that the caption was doctored, the 53-year-old referred back to the bigger mission at hand, which for him is getting rid of the n-word all together. "True or not, the IGGY thing is a reality when you call yourself with the slavea-- term that was branded on skin & today marketed, [s---t] happens."

Chuck D remains outspoken with his disdain for the racial epithet, specifically in hip hop culture. Last month he blasted Hot 97 over what he sees as the station condoning use of the word, and has vowed to bring about changes in urban radio.

On her end, Azalea has warded off her own share of racially charged controversy and critiques in the past. Namely in 2012 when she made a public apology for calling herself a "runaway slave master" in an old song.

She hasn't said anything in response to Chuck D's mixup. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
