Nicki Minaj is taking a page out of her labelmate Drake’s book and adding hostess with the mostess to her extensive resume. The Head-Barb-in-Charge announced Monday (Sept. 29) via Instagram that she will be hosting and performing at the 2014 MTV European Music Awards.
“So excited to announce that I will not only perform, but I have the honorable task of HOSTING this year's MTV European Music Awards!!!!!!!” Nicki posted along with a photo of her royal highness decked out in a black medieval-inspired gown, sitting befittingly on her throne.
Nicki will host the 20th anniversary of the global awards show Nov. 9, two weeks prior to the release of her third album, Pink Print. She’s already been taking over 2014 MTV award shows. The “Yassss Bish” femcee performed her smash hit “Anaconda” live for the first time at the VMAs in August and she took the stage again to perform “Bang Bang” with Ariana Grande and Jessie J.
Nominated for Best Female, Best Hip Hop, Best Look and Biggest Fans, Queen Nicki has a shot at winning her first EMA since 2012. The MTV EMAs will kick off in Miami with a special pre-show, before a final landing in Gaslow, Scotland, for the main event.
