Rihanna Returns to Instagram

Badgalriri rejoins social media site after six-month hiatus.

The internet is whole again. Rihanna rejoined Instagram over the weekend after a nearly six-month haitus from the social media site. The singer was reportedly banned from the app after the she posted a topless photo they deemed inappropriate (RiRi, on the hand, seemed to imply she quit the site voluntarily).

After a five month wait, RiRi and Instagram ended the drought by reinstating the account. Rihanna posted a selfie with the caption, “Hellurrr #badgalback.” She also posted an animated photo of a stick figure version of herself holding hands with an Instagram icon along with the caption, “#RIHunited #badgalback @instagRam.”

It's not clear what kind of deal Instagram had to make to its most talked-about user to get her back on the photo sharing platform, but fans and trolls alike are rejoicing in Rihanna's return. Thankfully, the company preserved her account and all her old photos — minus the objectionable ones — and her 12.8 million followers are intact.
