J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League Blasted for Offensive Tweets Defending Bill Cosby

The hip hop production trio issued an apology following Twitter rant.

As the rape allegations against comedian Bill Cosby continue to come to light, the court of public opinion has seen a wide range of views on the topic. The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League joined the conversation on Saturday when tweets from the production trio’s official account defended the legendary TV star.

It is unclear which member (or members) of the group — Colione, Rook or Barto — sent the offensive tweets, but many of the comments sparked a harsh backlash from their followers.

“Bill Cosby is 1 of top 10 black people in the earth’s history,” one tweet read. “He gets a pass @janiceDickinson isn’t even top 10 in any category.”

There was also a very distasteful comment even condoning rape:

“Most of the people replying need to be raped by Bill Cosby.”

The Grammy Award-winning production trio, which has produced songs for Rick Ross, Jay Z and Drake, among others, tried to make their case for defending Cosby as he faces a string of allegations from several different women.

“We don’t condone rape, but we also don’t condone accusing an innocent American of rape with no conviction.”

The tweets continued.

“Y’all believed raven symone was raped by Cosby because of the internet rumors, until she cleared the air. Y’all are f*****g idiots.”

The account also responded to a user who asked if their logic on Bill Cosby rape allegations apply to officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed unarmed Black teen Mike Brown.

“Darren Wilson is top 10 police officers of all time? Haha”

Of course all the tweets were deleted and the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League issued an apology.

“We apologize for the distasteful tweets that where recently sent from our account. We are looking into this matter now.”
