Recently we've seen Taylor Swift remove all of her music from the music streaming service Spotify, and today we witnessed Prince remove all of his music from the service as well as YouTube silently.
Besides removing his music from the Internet in every way that was in his control, the music legend also deleted his Twitter and Facebook accounts, both of which had short-lived lives online anyway. It's possible he may have only been on social media in order to promote his music — when he joined in August 2013 he tweeted out a preview to a new song after a few "test tweets" and photos of food.
As of now neither Prince nor his reps have commented on his decision to leave the digital space musically and socially.
