In a candid moment with TMZ, the Maybach Music Group founder spoke on riots that erupted after the grand jury decision to not indict the officer who fatally shot an unarmed, Black, Ferguson, Mo., teen. "It's a lot of rage, it's a lot of anger, frustration," Ross said. "Personally, I feel like it's been an open season on young Black men for so long that it's sad that it took something like this or maybe even worse to make these changes. Most definitely got to make these changes."
Protests, mostly peaceful, have continued around the nation as Brown's parents and the community at large grapple with Wilson's side of the story, more of which was recently revealed in his first TV interview since the incident. Wilson maintains that he would have responded to a white teen in the exact same way.
"My personal opinion, he's a liar," Ross added. "Michael Brown was unarmed. He [Wilson] fired a shot. What was the other five shots for?"
