Cam’Ron: Purple Haze 2 Will Be My Last Album

Harlem rapper is calling it quits after next solo project.

It's a wrap for Cam’Ron. The Harlem native announced that his Purple Haze 2 release will be his last.

Cam shared the early retirement news with an Instagram video at the grave of rapper and friend Andre "Huddy 6" Hudson Wednesday (Dec. 10). The post included the message, “Fresh off da flight.. To see my brother.. HUD 6 told me lastnite.. #AChangeGoneCome last album.. #PurpleHaze2 this summer.. It's been fun.. But HUD said we got other things to do. #Hud6.”

He later confirmed to Miss Info that it is indeed “time to move on.” 

The Diplomats founder is only throwing in the towel as a solo artist, however, he's not disappearing completely. The 38-year-old was recently immoratalized in emojis, and career-wise, he's shifting into a new zone. "Movies and clothing are doing really well for me right now,” he explained. “I’m helping Mendeecees [Yandy’s husband from Love and Hip Hop NY] with his album. And…I’m building a club in Vegas.”
