There's no need for Chris Brown's contentious past to haunt him over the fracas that went down at an after-party following music's biggest night, he says.
The "Love More" singer took to Instagram to clear up the gossip that he was involved in a reported brawl at an event Meek Mill hosted Grammy weekend. "Lol.. Killing these lil rumours that I got beat up last night at meek mill party. It's funny how I'm always the topic of discussion for bulls**t," he wrote, captioning a close up of him making his best "where they do that at?" face.
"Given my prior encounters with the law I don't conduct myself like that when I go out. So no, I wasnt involved in any pistol whipping or fighting," he continued.
According to TMZ, members of rival gangs got into a fight at Meek's star-studded house party (held at Justin Bieber's former residence), throwing punches. Cops were called in response to a noise complaint, and found more than 1,000 guests milling about the neighborhood. They had apparently fled from the melee.
Brown admits that something happened. "There was an altercation between other people at the party and I observed," he wrote. "Me and my team left so we wouldn't have anything to do with it so the police wouldn't f**k wit me. You know how my name pops up in everything. Lol. GOOD DAY SIR."
He's otherwise focused on the Between the Sheets tour with Tyga and Trey Songz, kicking off this Thursday (Feb. 12). The trio recently announced new dates after the jaunt was delayed due to Brown's need to complete his court-ordered community service.
