Update: Shots Fired at Lil Wayne's House

Miami Beach Police respond to call that four people may be injured at Weezy's Florida residence.

UPDATE: Police have determined that the shooting report was a hoax. Several cops were seen leaving the residence in droves, some removing bulletproof vests as they walked away. It is unclear who placed the call.

Shots were reportedly fired at the Miami Beach home of Lil Wayne Wednesday (March 11). Although police are currently at the scene, there are conflicting reports regarding an alleged shooter.

According to Miami’s WSBTV, someone called a police non-emergency from outside the home to report the gunshots. Dispatchers were told that “four people were shot,” the news station reports.

TMZ reports that the alleged shooter placed the call from inside the house and threatened to continue opening fire.

Authorities are currently at the house outfitted in swat gear. Wayne is in Miami but was not at the residence.

This incident comes about a week after a lurker was reported at the YMCMB leader's house. The man lied and told police that he was invited to the home despite never making his way inside. Police questioned him and let him go.
