A SXSW performer has been charged with a sex crime, Complex reports. Yung Gleesh is accused of sexually assaulting a female victim at a home in Austin.
According to Austin’s KXAN, the female victim met with police at St. Davis hospital on March 20, hours after the incident. She and a friend arrived at another friend’s house around 2:30 a.m. after a night of partying. The woman admitted to drinking at the time.
Gleesh, whose birth name is Asa Asuncion, reportedly arrived about an hour later, and is said to be friends with one of the people who lives at the residence.
Later that morning, at around 6:00 a.m., the woman's friend woke up to find Gleesh on top of the victim, and both were semi-nude. The 25-year-old rapper left the house before authorities arrived and canceled a Dallas show scheduled for Monday (March 23).
At press time he had neither been arrested nor released a statement on the allegations.
