Today is understandably trying for French Montana and everyone mourning the loss of rapper Chinx, whose was laid to rest in Queens this afternoon.

It seems Montana’s son is helping him handle the grief. The Coke Boys member posted a funeral photo with his son, alongside a touching message to Chinx earlier today. “Always smiling even when it's hard, just like his father!," he writes about the child, before the dedication to his slain friend.

This home of ours ain't perfect, but rest in peace in your perfect home now, my brother,” he continues. “Sometimes life hurts more than death when you lose a loved one. Terrible to love something that death can touch.#ripchinx #realone.”

Crowds lined the streets of the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral in Jamaica, Queens today as friends and family arrived to celebrate the life of the 31-year-old rising rapper born Lionel Pickens. Attendees included his mother, widow and son, in addition to Montana, Juelz Santana, Vado and more.

Chinx was killed in a drive-by that left his friend and label mate Antar Alziadi (a.k.a. Yemen Cheese) hospitalized. Police are still investigating the shooting.
