The doctor will see you now. At 6PM EST on the 4th of July, Dr. Dre will debut his long-awaited Beats 1 Radio show The Pharmacy. The hour-long program will broadcast new episodes every other Saturday. DJ Pooh, Eddie Francis and Wyann Vaughn will join Dre in the studio, while DJ Jus Incredible provides the music.
Although the show is arguably the most anticipated on Beats 1, the 24-hour network (free for Apple Music subscribers) already has racked up an amazing roster of celebrity DJs. In addition to Elton John's Rocket Hour, Pharrell's OTHERtone and A-Trak's Day Off Radio, Drake, Jaden Smith, Run the Jewels and Q-Tip are just some of the icons who will host shows. That's got to send a shiver down Spotify's back.
Still not enough to get you to sign up? Check this: Apple Music exclusively debuted the new music video for Eminem's latest single "Phenomenal" today. The 7-minute "music film" features cameos from actors John Malkovich and Randall Park, Dr. Dre and — of course — the Apple Watch. Eminem was also the subject of the first Beats 1 guest interview with DJ Zane Lowe.
