Miley Cyrus is one of the biggest names in popular culture, so it’s only right that she’s chosen to host the 2015 MTV VMAs.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer shared on her Twitter a funny sign of her in an all-green jumpsuit with a sandwich sign that reads: “MTV won’t let me perform.” And then the flip: “So I’m hosting this year’s MTV VMAs.”
Cyrus is probably not going to perform because she’ll be too busy attending her hosting duties. If you remember, though, her 2013 VMAs performance was controversial because of her inappropriate dancing on Robin Thicke and taking the whole twerking phenomenon to new heights.
Last year, she did a good deed by allowing a 22-year-old go on stage and accept her award for Video of the Year for “Wrecking Ball.” It raised awareness for a campaign on helping out homeless youth.
The VMAs are set to air Aug. 30 at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
