She's an independent woman, so she does exactly what she wants.

Azealia Banks is one of music's most polarizing figures because of her independence, music ability and willingness to speak her mind on sight. So, it was no surprise when she announced on Twitter (see below) that she left Prospect Park and was back on the market.

However, Prospect Park has released a statement confirming exactly what part of their business relationship has been exterminated and which part still exists. According to Billboard, a rep for Prospect Park told the publication the following:

"We can confirm that we chose to terminate our management relationship with Azealia Banks. We believe she’s one of the most talented artists in the world and are very proud of the work we did on her behalf. We wish her all the best.”

But, it should be noted that she is still signed to the Prospect Park record label, so she's a free agent as far as management is concerned, but she's still not on the market for a new deal.

We're sure there will be more coming to Azealia's new chapter soon, including new music and we can't wait! is your No. 1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
