WE55 Shows the Other Side of Pasadena in 'Crazy'

The newly minted Def Jam signee invites us into his world.

Published July 23, 2015

WE55 is a new face in rap, but you’ll get to know his name soon enough.

Earlier this year, WE55 released his mixtape, The Black Prince Charles, which was hosted by Don Cannon and DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz. His song “Microwave” was picking up traction on the Internet, a track that mixes vivid lyricism about cooking dope over truck-rattling production. The follow-up, “Crazy,” is just as potent, as we learn more about growing up in the grittier parts of his hometown in Pasadena, Calif. He’s not afraid to show his true colors, and listeners start to see that he’s always keeping it real.

The video, directed by Eif Rivera, is an indication that WE55 is going places. Watch it below, and stay tuned for more music.
