Double standards can be a pain and Ciara knows all about it.

Today, after weeks of Internet chatter regarding her relationship with Russell Wilson and how Future is less than happy about the football star's interactions with his son. From men that feel that Ciara is wrong for bringing her son around another man to the Internet's self-appointed family counselors that believe that Russell Wilson is playing "daddy" too quickly, CiCi has been quiet. Well, she was quiet until she appeared on CBS This Morning today.

What the songstress said was simple and logical. According to her, she reached out to her ex-fiancé about meeting her new boo, but she noted that her gesture didn't really go anywhere and that she had to live her life.

As far as the backlash? Ciara sees it as a double standard, saying the following, "At one point in time when we were together, I took care of his kids as well."

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you shut down Internet trolling in under a minute.
