UPDATE: Chris Brown has shared some more thoughts on the matter on Twitter. He wants to raise awareness on domestic violence and believes his story can influence the youth.

"I would be more than grateful to come to Australia to raise awareness about domestic violence.Im not the pink elephant in the room anymore. My life mistakes should be a wake up call for everyone. Showing the world that mistakes don't define you. Trying to prevent spousal abuse. The youth don't listen to parents nor do they listen to PSA's. The power that we have as Entertainers can change lives."

PREVIOUS: Over the weekend, news broke that Chris Brown reportedly will be denied entry to Australia for a series of stops on his One Hell of a Nite Tour with August Alsina. The reason? His past record with domestic violence.

Although Brown shared on his Instagram that people shouldn’t believe the rumors, his management team has issued a statement on Ticketek, an Australian event ticketing company.

"Contrary to media reports, Chris Brown's request to enter Australia on tour has not been denied. This request is currently being considered by the office of the Immigration Minister. We respect their right to review this request and have faith that a decision will be made with the full consideration of his continued personal growth, on-going philanthropic endeavors and desire to perform for his fans. Since 2009, Chris Brown has visited Australia on two separate occasions and is looking forward to returning in December.” will update this story as soon as we learn more. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
