T.I.’s apology about his comments about women running for female president may not be enough.

Last week, Tip wrote on Twitter that his words were “unequivocally insensitive and wrong” and then sincerely apologized to anyone he offended. To the League of Women Voters, that isn’t going to cut it.

Author Tee Roby created a petition to encourage T.I. to donate funds to the organization. With 36,512 supporters and counting, Roby wants T.I. “to put his money where his mouth is and support a world where sexism doesn't stop women and girls from being leaders.” Roby simply believes the apology wasn’t genuine enough, and he should prove it by taking action.

The Hustle Gang leader made headlines last week for his reasons why he wouldn’t vote for a woman to be president.

“Not to be sexist but I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” he explained.I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally — they make very permanent, cemented decisions — and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke.”

He reportedly ended that week by spending racks on racks at the strip club as a sign of his appreciation for women. So there’s no question he can contribute to this Care2 petition. Read the entire thing here.
