Adele continues to raise the anticipation for her upcoming album 25. After finally announcing a release date (November 20) and dropping her first single, a song called “Hello” which was first premiered on the U.K. X Factor, the typically-elusive singer bared her soul on Twitter, penning an emotional open letter to her fans.
In the letter, she explains that unlike her previous project, which was a break-up album, 25 is a “make-up record.” She writes, “I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did."
After walking us through her life story, Adele addresses why her new album took so long: “I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.”
