Here's What Happens When J. Cole Asks for Your E-Mail Address

The rapper surprised three lucky fans on Twitter.

Drake may make your hotline bling, but J. Cole is trying to get into your inbox. The rapper dropped a huge surprise on three fans on Monday night, when he emailed them a sneak peek of his new mixtape a full hour before sharing it with the world.

It started with Cole tweeting that he needed an email address "right quick":

Naturally, thousands responded within minutes. The "No Role Modelz" rapper then picked three at random, and emailed those fans a download link for his Revenge of the Dreamers II mixtape. An hour later, he dropped it on the rest of us via iTunes. The nine-track compilation featuring Cole and other members of his Dreamville crew comes on the heels of the Fayetteville, North Carolina native's three Grammy nominations.
