Over the past few years there probably hasn’t been anyone asked more about Nicki Minaj than Safaree Samuels.
Minaj’s former lover for over a decade split with her in 2014 and seems to be finally letting go as the two have gone at it on Twitter, among other mediums, post break-up. During a recent interview with Billboard, Scaff Beezy had nothing but kind words and says it wouldn’t be awkward on his part if the two saw each other in public again.
“I just wish ‘em all the best,” he said when asked about Nicki and Meek Mill’s relationship. “You know I don’t have an ill feeling going towards anyone. From my side, it’s nothing but love. I’m the type of guy, whether you like it or not, I’m gonna still say, ‘Hi,’ to you. It’s on you to where you wanna take it. I don’t have an ill will bone in my body. It’s nothing but God bless and protect the love.”
Safaree also spoke about his own love life and on general terms about being happy in a relationship. “Once you’re happy, that’s all that matters, you know?” he said. “Nobody wants to be sad and miserable, so if you’re happy and you’re really happy, you know, God bless.”
A song on his most recent mixtape, It Is What It Is, Vol. 2, called “Can’t Lie” (featuring Olaf) seems to echo the sentiments from his most recent interview and is about finding love, something Samuels seems to already have done.
