While we’re baffled as to why this whole thing even happened, it’s actually not terrible. It’s trippy and completely leftfield from something ‘Ye would typically create. If you thought the original was too abrasive, you ain’t heard nothin’ yet.
Back in 2013, Miley did perform a rendition of “Black Skinhead” at the MTV Video Music Awards, which prompted Kanye to whisk her off to a studio to officially create the remix for the song. It never surfaced, even on the b-side to the single, and people wondered whatever happened to what was created between the two.
“Black Skinhead” was Kanye West’s first single from his 2013 album YEEZUS. It would be one of the first official insights into what the critically mixed album would sound like and has been the antithesis of what ‘Ye’s sound’s been since. Listen to it below.
