Chris Brown Isn't Taking His Grammys Snub Very Well

He's tired of artists who kiss a** for nominations.

Chris Brown is the latest celebrity to throw a tantrum over a lack of recognition by an awards show. The R&B star took to Twitter to vent his frustrations over the 2016 Grammy nominations, and the current climate in the music industry in general.

Brown, who is nominated for his work on the “Only” track alongside Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil Wayne, did not received a nomination for his recently released album Royalty. Breezy had no problem throwing shade at the other nominees, saying that many of them are being rewarded not for their music, but for their ability to suck up to the right people.

Brown continued, “If u turn on ya radio right now I promise within the hour you will hear Chris Brown on damn near half the songs of I’ve co-written. The awards used to mean something. Now it’s about likes and memes.”

He then thanked his fans for their support, allowing him to be the artist that he wants to be:

Though Royalty didn't make the cut for Album Of The Year, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton, and the band Alabama Shakes did. Wonder who Breezy is talking about when he refers to artists who "kiss a** and work less"?

For now, maybe Brown should focus on his music and staying out of trouble. Catch up with his latest run-in with the law, below:
