Questlove has been recruited to score a film starring Emile Hirsch, Zoë Kravitz and Kid Cudi.

As reported by Rolling Stone, the premise for what Questlove will cook up in the studio to accompany the scenes is a story about a suburban loner and a punk rock character who fall in love but can’t seem to escape the violence following them.

Questlove has several projects under his belt, including doing the score for 2014’s Top Five (starring Chris Rock and Rosario Dawson) as well as several episodes of Inside Amy Schumer.

The news of Questlove's most recent creative endeavor comes a week after his father, Lee Andrews, passed away at 79, whom the drummer and producer shared was “the greatest teacher in my life,” in a heartfelt written tribute.

The film, titled Vincent N Roxy, is due to premiere next month at the Tribeca Film Festival. is your No. 1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
