Witness Testifies Against Philadelphia Woman Charged With Murder for Illegal Cosmetic Surgery

Theresa Gyamfi claims her 20-year-old friend died after they received silicone injections to enlarge their butts.

Padge Gordon, a Philadelphia woman known as "the Black Madam," injected Claudia Aderotimi with silicone to enlarge her butt and then sealed the wounds with Krazy Glue, according to authorities and new witness testimony describing the incident.

Theresa Gyamfi, a friend of Aderotimi, testified on Wednesday and explained that the February 2011 procedure was the second time Gordon was treating the two women for butt injections.

Gordon was charged with third-degree murder in July after performing the illegal cosmetic surgery on Aderotimi, a 20-year-old London dancer, and then fleeing the scene.

Aderotimi experienced complications soon after her procedure. Gordon told Gyamfi to call the hospital if her conditioned worsened and left the Hampton Inn hotel in Philadelphia. They had no way of contacting Gordon.

The silicone traveled into the victim's blood, liver, lungs and brain, and killed her due to a pulmonary embolism. Gordon fled the airport hotel room where the procedure was taking place once the woman went into respiratory distress.

The two London tourists were in the U.S. to celebrate Aderotimi's birthday and "to get injections to enhance our figures," Gyamfi said. Police investigated Aderotimi's death for 18 months with the help of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

This isn't the first time Gordon has committed this crime as police suspect that she's performed the "surgery" at least 14 other times and has evaded authorities by changing her name and location. She is currently in jail on a $750,000 bond and also faces charges for practicing medicine without a license.
