Chicago Gun Violence: 3 People Dead, 9 Shot This Past Weekend

Three people are dead and nine people are wounded after a weekend of gun violence across the city of Chicago.

The first weekend of November in Chicago was marred by gun violence that left three people dead and nine people wounded since Friday. 
On Saturday night, a 27-year-old was found dead in a vacant lot by police with wounds to his chest and abdomen. Earlier Saturday, an 18-year-old was fatally shot in the chest and buttocks in what police believe was a narcotics-related incident, according to NBC Chicago. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. 

Another man in his 20s was killed on Saturday. He was discovered in an alley by police officers with wounds to his chest and arm. On Friday, a 32-year-old woman was among the wounded this weekend. She was shot in the leg while walking down the street and treated at an area hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
The death toll in gun violence attacks in Chicago this year has reached 303 people, according to data compiled by Red Eye Chicago.
