A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody for his involvement in the gang rape of an 18-year-old woman last Thursday in Brooklyn. Four other teens have been charged with first-degree rape.

There are now more twists in this horrendous story that have left authorities with deeper holes to fill in the events that took place in the Brownsville neighborhood.

The night of the incident, the victim and her father were drinking beer in the park. When news first broke, it was reported that the teens approached them and one threatened the father with a gun. He then ran to get help and returned with cops.

The teens have denied the rape allegations and say the sex was "consensual." They added that the young woman was having sex with her father when they approached, a source told the Daily News

A local deli is under fire for not allowing the father to use their phone to dial 911 when he was seeking help, according the Daily News. The NYPD is also being crticized by local politicians for not releasing information on the incident in an urgent manner.

The four suspects charged as adults are Onandi Brown, 17; Ethan Phillip, 15; Shaquell Cooper, 15;  and Denzel Murray, 14. Cooper and Murray were turned in by their parents. The other suspects, 15 and 17, were brought in by authorities, the New York Times reports.
