A Brooklyn teen paid the ultimate price while trying to steal a pair of Air Jordans. According to Pix11, the 17-year-old lost his arm in a Craigslist robbery gone wrong on Friday afternoon.

The teenage reportedly connected with the seller, a 39-year-old man who goes by "Phil" on Craigslist. They met up at about 1:00 p.m. near Avenue M and East 84th Street in Canarsie to do the exchange, but the teen apparently didn't intend on paying for the kicks, as he pulled out a gun when he entered the seller's SUV. He then grabbed the sneakers and left.

Police reported that after the teen made it to about 100 yards, the driver managed to make a U-turn, revved up the vehicle and ran him over, completely severing his arm.

With the missing limb, the teen still managed to hop on an MTA bus and demanded a MetroCard, but he didn't get far as the victim caught up to him and told the driver that he had just robbed him. The teen still managered to get away, though, but collapsed while struggling to make it home.

The teen, along with his decapitated arm, was transported to a nearby hospital via an ambulance. He is said to be in stable, but serious condition, with doctors planning to reattach his arm.

While the driver's actions were carried out in self-defense, according to his relatives, he faces an attempted murder charge.
