Latoya Morris, a 36-year-old mother of four, has been arrested after her children were found living with her in filthy conditions inside a Dallas motel room.

WFFA reported that Morris was found passed out on the room's stove top on Wednesday when the hotel manager went to the room in response to complaints of odors of feces and urine. When the manager arrived he found trash piled up outside the door, and inside he found the children, whose ages range from 2 to 10.

One of the children was found with bruises on his face. He told investigators that his mother had banged his head against the bathroom wall because he and his siblings had made a mess in the already squalid room. He also told authorities that he had been choked by his mother. Two of the other children were reportedly wheezing.

Morris told authorities that if they took her children she would kill herself by throwing herself down stairs or hanging herself. She was then arrested and charged with injury to a child and multiple counts of criminal negligence. Her bail has been set at $7,000.
