Where is Arianna?
San Francisco police are working hard to answer that question after the toddler’s mother, Nicole “Nikki” Fitts, was found murdered on Friday in John McLaren Park, four days after being reported missing on April 1.
Now, the daughter of the deceased 32-year-old mother is the focus of the investigation, which has been expanded to include Los Angeles.
“None of this makes sense,” said Michael Jacobo, Nikki’s co-worker at Best Buy. “She was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. She always had a smile on her face. It always stuck with me how kind and shy she was.”
On a Facebook page dedicated to helping find Nikki and Arianna, Claire Bonnar wrote on April 6, “Nikki was last contacted the night of Friday April 1. It is unclear if Arianna is with Nicole or if Arianna is with her babysitter in Oakland. A missing persons report has been created with the SFPD and their BayView Department.”
Bonnar then inquired about which phone carrier Nikki had and asked for anyone with more information on Arianna’s babysitter to please come forward.
Thus far, authorities have no leads, but consider the child “at risk” due to her young age and because police suspect foul play.
While it’s been reported that Fitts was murdered, police didn’t disclose information as to how she was killed.
The Fitts family is hopeful that they will find Arianna.
“The thing that is keeping me going is that we’re going to find Arianna,” Fitts’s sister, Contessa Fitts, said. “I have to keep finding information.”
“Please help us find this missing little girl,” Lt. Troy Dangerfield of the Youth and Community Engagement Unit for the San Francisco Police Department tweeted with a photo of the missing girl. “Arianna Fitts. 2yrs old. #SFPD Tip line 415-575-4444 @SFPDCares.”
