Japanese parents are taking to social media in order to participate in a new viral trend where they are comparing the rolls on their babies’ arms to rolls of bread.
The hashtag #mybabysgotthebestbreadphoto began trending and more parents competed in posting the best photo to Twitter. The pictures use common bread that is sold at 7-Eleven stores in Japan.
This trend appears similar to last year’s trend which found Japanese parents comparing their babies’ faces to rice balls.
Memes pointing out visual similarities between two things you’d never expect to look alike are common. Who can forget the pics that crashed everyone’s feeds of legs and hot dogs. At least this trend is way cuter and compares kids to yummy treats, as opposed to comparing sunburned legs to an animal byproduct.
