By now, we all know a lot of information about Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen. However, a new face is entering the story with some shocking information. A man who chose to have his name and identity kept secret is coming forward and claims to be the former lover of Mateen.

This alleged lover spoke to Univision Noticias with a facial disguise. During the interview, he claimed that he and Mateen had been lovers for two months. He then went on to say, “I’ve cried like you have no idea. But the thing that makes me want to tell the truth is that he didn’t do it for terrorism. In my opinion, he did it for revenge.”

According to the man, Mateen became very upset after this man who he had slept with revealed that he was HIV positive.

The man, who had gone to the FBI, claimed that he was coming forward as US citizen and a gay man. The FBI corroborated the man’s story about speaking with him, yet no confirmation can be given as to the validity of his story.

The man also went to describe Mateen in a way that very much contradicts other claims from Mateen’s former co-worker and ex-wife. This man said that Mateen was very sweet and loved to be cuddled. He also went on to say that Mateen loved gay, Latin men, but did feel rejected by them.

Overall, this man, who called himself Miguel, claims that this attack was fueled by revenge and not terrorism.

This story certainly gets more confusing by the minute, but at the end of the day, 49 innocent people still lost their lives at the hands of a terrible person.

The interview with Miguel can be seen below.
