Theopilous Washington, a 20-year-old student at Millersville University in Pennsylvania has been charged with attempted murder after he admitted to putting bleach in his pregnant girlfriend's water in an attempt to force an abortion of their unborn child.

Washington was charged with attempted first degree murder of an unborn child and reckless endangering. He's currently being held on one million dollars bail.

Washington's girlfriend called 911 after Washington suggested she drink water from the fridge and shortly after felt a burning sensation in her throat, causing her to vomit.

"Washington, the father of the child, admitted to putting bleach in the water bottle," prosecutors said. "He had stated previously that he did not want the female to have the child."

Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman issued a statement to call the alleged crimes "twisted, and the intended result nothing short of horrifying."

Luckily, a doctor examined the victim and determined that both she, and her 2-month-old fetus appear to be unharmed.

Millersville's vice president released a statement regarding the terrifying crime, saying, "It is very disturbing to me personally because I consider our students to be our family," Hazlett said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and we're doing everything we can to make sure she is OK."
