On Halloween, the White House held its annual trick-or-treating event for kids and their families. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama were impressed by the "scary and cool" costumes that the kids thought up this year.

For some children, they kept their costumes simple and cute, but for some, this was a chance to take their costume game a new level.

  1. One little man, 2-year-old Cruz, stopped the show when he appeared dressed as the late iconic singer Prince

  2. Cruz's Uncle Gary Williams Scored Last-Minute Tickets so he, his wife, his sister and her children could attend the spooky event

When Cruz approached President Obama to trick-or-treat, the POTUS surprised everyone and burst out into song. Cruz could not believe it when the president started singing "Purple Rain," a song Cruz and his sister loved to sing.

  3. Cruz's uncle recorded the moment that left the little Prince frozen in his tracks
  4. Needless to say, people lost their minds when they saw the clip posted to twitter
  5. which eventually led to everyone opening up about how much they will miss our POTUS
