  1. Elementary School assignments are often pretty cliche, yet when 5-year-old Nyemah Greenhouse of Louisiana was told to 'dress like an Indian' for school, her mother, Tremeka, had a better idea
  2. Nyemah went to school dressed as a protester of the Dakota Access Pipeline, which has more relevance to Native Americans
  3. Once Nyemah's sister tweeted the photo, it instantly became a viral hit
  4. Many criticized the school for the offensive assignment
  5. However, Tremeka said the school is pretty good and this was just one bad assignment

“It really is a good school,” Tremeka told BuzzFeed News. “We just weren’t fond of this particular project. I hope that they don’t receive any backlash.”
