  1. In an official white house statement, President Obama announced the date of his final address to the country

    In the statement, President Obama gave us a some insight on what we can expect to hear during the final speech. 

    "I'm just beginning to write my remarks," wrote the president in a blog posted to the White House site. "But I'm thinking about them as a chance to say thank you for this amazing journey, to celebrate the ways you've changed this country for the better these past eight years, and to offer some thoughts on where we all go from here."

  2. When the statement was shared online, tears instantly fell
  3. The announcement made people from all over share how upset they are that he is leaving
  4. President Obama also tweeted the perfect response for all the non-supporters out there who believe he has not improved the country
  5. Which has inspired many to come out and thank President Obama for everything he has done for us
  6. To wrap up his tweets, the president expressed his excitement to stand with all of us as a citizen
