Look: Report Claims 'Rape Melania' Sign at Anti-Trump Rally Was Set Up by This Man to Discredit Protesters

Here's what Buzzfeed news sources say you need to know about Jack Posobiec and Trump supporters' DeploraBall.

Published January 12, 2017

In a recent report published by Buzzfeed News, sources are alleging that creator of the infamous “Rape Melania” sign at an anti-Trump protest was a Trump supporter himself.

According to the source, Jack Posobiec, organizer of the DeploraBall event, led a group of Trump supporters in an effort to smear and discredit Hillary Clinton supporters.

  1. The sign was first seen just a few days after Trump's victory and was tweeted out by Alan Beck

The sign incited much tension between Trump supporters and protesters, who were made out to look like violent anarchists.

"The current surge in the left’s propensity toward violence and mayhem should surprise no one,” one person commented on InfoWars regarding the photo.

Now, Buzzfeed has reported that the sign and several other violent anti-Trump sentiments were planted by Posobiec, creator of Citizens 4 Trump.

  2. In an alleged text sent from Posobiec, he told an unnamed source that he yelled 'assassinate Trump' at a protest until others joined in

On Nov. 10, Posobiec posted a video to Twitter of an anti-Trump protester yelling “Assassinate that n***a.” According to the source, Posobiec sent a text message that same night and claimed that he’d started an “assassinate Trump” chant to bait protesters into joining him, reported Buzzfeed. He allegedly did this in order to film the chant and post to social media.

  3. According to texts, Posobiec allegedly planned the 'Rape Melania' sign to discredit protesters

According to Buzzfeed's source, Posobiec came up with the idea to create harmful signs. Although Posobiec denies this, the source claimed that Posobiec was actually the one holding the “Rape Melania” sign in the photographs.

  4. former DeploraBall organizer Tim Gionet also accused Posobiec of making the sign
  5. Although several harmful allegations have been made against Posobiec, the Trump supporter has denied all claims
