  1. After photos from Trump's inaugural ball were put online, Duff Goldman of Ace of Cakes tweeted that the cake was a duplicate of a cake he made for Barack Obama in 2013
  2. The trend #cakegate rapidly took off
  3. And many speculated which Obama knock-offs are going to be made next
  4. Buttercream Bakeshop published a statement that confirmed they were commissioned to duplicate Obama's cake from four years ago

    Additionally, Buttercream said that they donated proceeds from the cake to the Human Rights Campaign because “basic human rights are something every man, woman and child~ straight, gay or the rainbow in between~ deserve!”
