A 23-year-old was charged with first-degree rape and aggravated robbery of a taxi driver in Ohio. Brittany Carter was indicted this month for the incident, which took place on January 28. Two other suspects were with Carter at the time, yet they remain at large.
According to police officials, Carter and two men called a cab to pick them up from a hotel in Findlay. When they were in the vehicle, Carter forced herself on the 29-year-old driver. While Carter performed sex acts, 20-year-old Corey Jackson held a knife to his throat.
Afterward, Jackson, Carter and the other unidentified man allegedly stole $32 from the driver’s pocket and fled the scene. Although Jackson has not been arrested, he has been charged with aggravated robbery and complicity to commit rape.
“We don’t know why she did it,” Findlay Lt. Robert Ring told the News-Messenger. “Maybe it was a distraction because they took money from him.”
On March 10, Carter was taken into custody, where she is being held on a $60,000 bond.
