People Are Slamming Trump for Saying 'No Politician in History Has Been Treated Worse' Than Him

"Two words: Barack Obama."

Published May 17, 2017

  1. While speaking at the U.S. Coast Guard Commencement on Wednesday, Donald Trump said no one has been treated worse than him

"Look at the way I've been treated lately, especially by the media," Trump said. "No politician in history - and I say this with great surety - has been treated worse or more unfairly."

Trump then turned his complaint of the way people have treated him into a platitude about overcoming obstacles.

"Adversity makes you stronger," Trump said. "Don't give in. Don't back down. And never stop doing what you know is right."

  2. Immediately, people reminded Trump of one particular politician who was definitely treated worse
  3. Trump, who started the birther movement and then tried to blame it on Hillary Clinton, must have forgotten how much pushback Obama received
  4. In addition to former President Obama, there were other politicians treated far worse than Trump (by Trump)
  5. Not to mention a few others who had it pretty rough
  6. Trump's reaction to the media coverage of his actual wrongdoing at a graduation is anything but presidential
